Holledau instead of China: The Nepata Group from Wolnzach has brought parts of its production home from the Far East. This transfer press for textile finishing is already “made in Germany”. The celebration of the start of production was attended not only by the workforce but also by long-time friends of the company. As of now, the first “made in Germany” products of the Secabo brand are available – like the newly developed transfer press “The Beast”. Thanks to an innovative heating technology, it can be used to apply lettering or motifs to T-shirts, jerseys or workwear with less energy consumption. Previously, hardware had been manufactured by partner companies in their factories in the Far East.

Adding value in your own environment

At a celebration in the middle of the production hall with staff, families and long-time companions – among them the district council candidates Andreas Herschmann and Kerstin Schnapp as well as KUS board member Johannes Hofner – co-owner and managing director Bernhard Schmidt described the reasons for the step “Back to Bavaria”: better quality and more control over the production processes on the one hand, added value in the best sense of the word for the company and its environment on the other. “And just imagine a global pandemic disrupting supply chains …,” Schmidt outlined an all too real scenario. The devices are sold on all continents, in 80 countries worldwide.
